A Utah dog owner is upset that her dog underwent unnecessary surgery after she brought her in for a simple teeth cleaning.
The veterinarian said the dog’s paperwork was marked “spay,” but when the doctor began the procedure, he realized the 4-year-old dog had already been spayed.
The dog’s owner said she thought checking off the box was what she was supposed to do.
The owner of the clinic said out of more than 17,000 procedures at his office, this was a first.
