Verizon workers on strike are causing some prescription problems for a CVS in Rhode Island.

That CVS says a malfunction in a fiber-optic line is causing problems with filling prescriptions, and that the Verizon strike could delay repairs.

CVS said customers can go to other stores to avoid a hassle.

Verizon has been training non-union workers to fill in, in case of a strike. But the protesters say those workers don’t know as much.
