A police chief in Vermont was responding to a car crash on Wednesday when his cruiser slid backward on the icy road and into a ditch. 

The chief’s car off the road in Hinnesburg, Vermont during icy conditions. 

The chief said the incident was scary but did not think he would injured. 

The chief drove the cruiser back to the station after the crash.
