BOSTON (WHDH) - The Disabled American Veterans or DAV 5K race kicked off early Saturday morning in South Boston.
Participants could either run, walk, roll, or motorcycle their way through the course.
The event is part of a national series that raises awareness of the issues veterans face everyday.
They help more than one million veterans in life changing ways each year.
