BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston’s Office of Veterans Services hosted its own version of the Army-Navy game on Saturday with a flag football game featuring some local servicemembers.
It’s the second time the Office of Veterans Services has teamed up with the Flag Football League and the New England Patriots to host the game, which was played at Clemente Field in the Back Bay.
The Army’s team won the game for the second year in a row.
“It’s a way for people to see our active duty servicemembers in a different light,” said Boston’s Commissioner of Veterans Services, Robert Santiago. “Most people know what they see on TV and on the movies but this is a way to get to know them on a personal level.”
