BROCKTON, MASS. (WHDH) - The driver wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Brockton on Friday has turned himself in.
The crash happened early Friday morning on North Main Street in front of The Spot Bar and Lounge.
A group was crossing the street when police said 25-year-old Sergio Licona was hit by a car, which did not stop. Licona died on his injuries Monday.
On Sunday, officials said they identified the car. Officials said they received a tip from the car’s owner, who was not behind the wheel at the time.
“We are a community here. And while I can’t control everything that happens on the streets, I’m responsible for my patrons,” said Chenet Sam, the owner of the Spot Bar and Lounge.
