SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (AP) — A woman injured in a house fire in Connecticut over the weekend has died.

Authorities say the woman injured in the fire in Southington reported just before 10 p.m. Saturday died at the hospital on Sunday.

She was the only person in the home but a dog also reportedly died.

The victim’s name was not immediately released.

The state fire marshal’s office and Southington Fire Department are investigating the cause of the blaze that took hours to get under control.
