PITTSBURGH (AP) — Mourners are honoring the victims of a mass shooting inside a Pittsburgh synagogue with a moment of silence and a rally for peace in a downtown park.

Rabbis from all three congregations whose members were meeting in the Tree of Life synagogue building at the time of the shooting nearly two weeks ago are attending the event Friday at Point State Park.

A few hundred people are on hand to observe a moment of silence and hear the names read aloud of the 11 dead.

The speakers include Pennsylvania U.S. Sen. Bob Casey and actors Tom Hanks and Michael Keaton.

The shooting was the deadliest attack on Jews in U.S. history.

A 46-year-old man who is accused of the shooting rampage has pleaded not guilty to federal charges.
