A 7-year-old autistic girl in New York is expected to be okay after falling out of a fourth story window and landing on concrete on Monday.
Surveillance cameras caught the fall on video. It shows the girl falling from the fourth floor, and then getting up to bang on the door before falling again.
Daniel Castro, 13, heard the thump and thought it was garbage being thrown out the window until he heard her cries.
He helped the girl back inside while his mother called the police.
Neighbors believe she may have tried to follow a cat when she fell down.
The girl was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police say they’re investigating, so far no charges have been filed against the girl’s parents.
