A toddler fell out of a moving truck in China over the weekend but was quickly rescued by the driver in the car behind.
The frightening event was captured by a video recorder on the vehicle following the truck.
The 2-year-old boy apparently crawled from the passenger seat into the back cargo area of the van, then out of the back liftgate, which flew up when the driver, the boy’s grandfather, pulled away at a green light.
The video shows the toddler climbing up on his feet and running after the van.
The grandfather noticed nothing and drove away.
The car behind pulled carefully to the side and picked up the boy before it went after the grandfather.
Soon, the grandfather returned and recovered his grandson from the good Samaritans, reportedly telling them that the van was recently rear-ended and the trunk lid had become loose.
