BOSTON (WHDH) — a gambling website raising some eyebrows with an advertising campaign that makes fun of the Kennedy assassination. It shows a couple of police officers firing off a weapon for fun.

While it appears to be a joke, not everyone is laughing.

These days there’s a lot to be said for a video that leaves people speechless.

The video, a commercial for a French gaming company, has been seen tens of thousands of times on YouTube but it isn’t playing well with American audiences.

“It doesn’t seem right at all,” Victoria Koldys said.

“Not in the best of taste,” Wesley Foster said.

The video shows the moment, and some say makes a mockery of, America’s darkest days when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

“It’s the same thing if they did something with 9/11 it’s a point in American history where people want to put it to rest. They don’t want to have to remember,” Rob Weir said.

The commercial’s tag line asks, ‘You like to bet?’ and the ad suggests the President was killed by an officer who had made a friendly wager.

It ends with officers trying to cover the mistake up.

“Absolutely [it cross the line for me] and i have a messed up sense of humor,” Will Imprellizzeri said.

Not everyone is offended by the commercial though. Dominique Schwartz is from France and he said he thinks the video is funny.

“I think the spot is really funny,” Schwartz said.
