State Police are conducting an internal investigation after a video showed a car going against traffic and a trooper not pulling the driver over in Nahant.

A driver shot video of the car going the wrong way down the Nahant Causeway, saying the river was not paying attention and she was going all over the road. Because of the median, the car had to wait until the end of the causeway to get back on the correct side.

When she got to the end of the causeway, there was a State Police trooper there who allowed the driver to get back on the right side of the road. The driver filming the video said the trooper never pulled her over.

State Police said they are aware of the incident and will now launch an investigation into why the trooper did not pull the wrong-way driver over. They will also decide whether to file charges against the wrong-way driver in the video.

Police also warn drivers to not pull out their phones to film someone driving dangerously. Instead, drivers are asked to pull over and call 911 to report anything.
