A vigil was held Sunday evening for the missing Mansfield man who was found dead in a pond.
The 24-year-old man’s family said he went missing at around 2:30 p.m. Saturday and they called police. Officers searched and they said their evidence led them to the pond early Sunday morning, where his body found was in 10 feet of water. Police believe the man fell through the ice and into the freezing water.
Police have not released the man’s name. They said the investigation into his disappearance and death remains ongoing and that their hearts and prayers go out to his family.
