WALPOLE, MASS. (WHDH) - Transportation officials will go before the Walpole Board of Selectmen to discuss the commuter rail pilot program approved by Foxborough selectmen last month.

The program, which would extend daily commuter rail service to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, has drawn criticism from some for its proposed route and cost.

Walpole residents are concerned the proposed route could abut properties in the town, and others think the project would be a waste of taxpayer money.

Foxborough selectmen approved the plan in November.
