WAREHAM, Mass. (WHDH) — Police seized at least eight pounds of marijuana from a home on Plymouth Ave. in Wareham Thursday.
A joint investigation by the Wareham Police Department, Middleboro police, and the United States Postal Service resulted in a search warrant for illegal drugs at the home. The warrant was issued regarding a large amount of marijuana intended for delivery.
Police found the package, which contained between eight and 10 pounds of the drug individually wrapped and disguised as Christmas presents. Officials estimated the street value of the marijuana up to $20,000.
Zachary Driscoll, 23, was arrested at the scene. He was arraigned and charged with possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute.
