What a finish to the weekend! Yesterday was arguably a perfect summer's day with temps in the mid to upper 80s, a good deal of sun, a nice breeze and dew points in the lower 50s, yielding afternoon humidity down to 30-40%. Doesn't get much better than that.
Today, we'll keep the warmth around, in fact, we'll throw on a couple more degrees with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. With dew points running back to near 70, the humidity comes surging back too with. At least we'll have a breeze to take the edge off the heat and humidity.
We stay dry through the daylight hours today, however, as a cold front approaches tonight, a passing thunderstorm is possible. It'll be a warm, muggy night, with overnight lows running in the low 70s! That front gets hung up over New England tomorrow, and that'll give us another chance for a passing shower or thunderstorm. Any thunderstorm tomorrow could locally be strong, so we'll keep an eye on that.
If you're one who doesn't like the heat and humidity, then the upcoming pattern change is for you. Starting Wednesday, the dew points head back into the 50s and stay there into the weekend. Temps come down too with a lot more 70s and lower 80s ahead. The next best chance for rain is Friday into Friday night, IF a storm to our south gets close enough. It should taper off early Saturday, yielding a mainly dry and comfortable weekend with temps in the 70s near the coast, near 80 well inland.
Have a good one!
