Last day of the Holiday Weekend is looking good with classic October weather: Sun & clouds, crisp morning air that becomes mild temps by afternoon. High Pressure holds down the fort one more day that begins to slide east of New England the next few days.

As this area of High Pressure slides east a powerhouse storm in the midwest (which will lead to late season severe weather) begins to head for New England. The storm is big but also a slow mover which will be us a few more dry days before finally bothering us by Thursday with rain. Before that happens, cloud cover, temps & humidity will all be on the increase. In fact, by Wednesday it will feel like a late summer day with afternoon temps in the upper 70s with humid conditions!

On Thursday, the storm itself finally reaches us with clouds, showers & even some thunderstorms. As of now it looks like most of the rain falls after lunchtime and into the evening (including the Pats-Jets game) but ti will be a warm rain (by October standards) with daytime & evening temps in the 60s.

We’ll hold onto the mild weather on Friday as we dry out.
