A young boy from Watertown is being honored for an unselfish act after he turned down birthday gifts for his sixth birthday.
Instead, he asked for money to donate to the New England Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Rescue program.
Jasper Rose raised more than $500 in donations.
To recognize Earth Day on Friday, he presented the donation to the aquarium’s CEO and President.
Jasper said he hopes the aquarium can use his donation to buy satellite tags, which are used for tracking the location of endangered sea turtles.
