We need rain but on a Friday morning here in early fall, I can’t exactly grab pom poms and ask for an R-A-I-N. So I won’t but I will spend a little time chatting temps. Yesterday, afternoon temps reached the 70s which is a smidge above normal even though a cool front slipped into the region. Today, that cooler air will take hold–not so much early this morning because we’ve had several mornings this week down into the 40s/50s. The difference will be the afternoon where those temps don’t reach the 70s. In fact, along the coast (Boston), those temps will be about 10 degrees cooler only reaching the low 60s. Farther inland the numbers won’t be as cool but still likely in the mid-upper 60s. This weekend will see similar weather: A brief chill during the morning with a comfortably cool afternoon each day. Just about ideal for apple picking, golfing, chopping wood, checking out the Red Sox at Fenway for the final time til next spring as well as the Pats game at Gillette (Revs game Saturday Night) or NASCAR up in Loudon….See, no way I can root for rain this weekend–way too much to do outside! There may be a few showers Monday of next week.

Have a great weekend!
