A group of whale watchers witnessed the birth of a gray whale calf off the coast of California.
The whale waters say that at first they saw red in the water and thought it was an attack. However, instead of a life ending, it was actually the beginning of a new one.
The mother swam right up to the boat with her calf as if to show off her new baby.
