Sun blended with clouds to make a perfect backdrop to a beautiful day. Low humidity, warm breezes – this is what summer is all about in New England.
How much better can it get?
Let’s add sea breezes on Friday. Not enough to sour the forecast, but just enough to keep us from reaching 80 or better along the coast. Combined with a dry airmass, it may be enough to cool us to the low 70s late day.
Still not too bad.
Weekend sees the humidity creep back into the picture with Sunday heading off a stretch of humid days that may last until Labor Day.
There I said it. Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of rain on our radar…now, or in the immediate future. This is a bit worrisome, since the deficit continues to grow across parts of Southern New England. From our weather spotter in Millis:
@pbouchardon7 Bob, Millis. FYI. For the months of May, June, July, and August, we are 4.5 in. below normal rainfall. May and July below 2 in

As September gets rolling, the skies seem to be lacking all-day rains. Sure, a storm threat is possible here and there, but not many will get a beneficial rain unless we have a large soaker on hand.
We’ll have to see how it all evolves.
