ORLEANS, MASS. (WHDH) - A white shark was spotted swimming close to the shore off Nauset Beach in Orleans on Saturday afternoon.
The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy says the shark was seen about 50 yards from the shoreline.

Swimmers at the beach were ordered to stay out of the water for an hour.
The beach has since reopened.
