CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. (WHDH) — More than 100 homes in Washington have been threatened by a fast-moving blaze.

The “Suncrest Fire” started on Saturday  afternoon and has grown to an estimated 400 acres.

Residents hope that local officials can contain the fire as best as they can.

“You’re hoping the families are safe that have houses up there,” said Tynan Vincent, a resident of the area.

“You just kind of hope that everybody can go home safe at the end of the night,” added Vincent.

One structure has already burned due to the flames.

Roads in the area have been completely shut down.
