The jump up in temperature today is fast and furious as we’ll be shedding a few layers of clothes from early morning to lunch.  By afternoon, t-shirt weather is in the forecast and even in the city of Boston, we’ll hit the 70s by mid to late afternoon.  Yes, even in Boston we’ll hit 70+ as the west to southwest wind is strong enough to hold back the sea breeze.  It’ll be cooler, 60s down across Buzzards Bay and the Cape, but a nice one there overall.  It’s perfection on the ball field today, including Fenway Park with temps in the 70s for most. Enjoy and don’t forget the sunscreen!

The mild air holds on through Friday with temps tomorrow in the mid to upper 70s despite more clouds in the mix.  This go around, a few showers are in the mix.  While I can’t completely rule out an early morning isolated shower, the best chance for more widespread showers and storms hold off until the late afternoon and evening.

A few showers may linger into early Saturday morning across Southeast Mass, otherwise, the weekend is cooler and mainly dry.

Enjoy the mild air and sunshine today!
