?The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Rhode Island and parts of Massachusetts Sunday morning.
The warning continues until 11:00 a.m. Monday morning.
The areas affected are Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts, which includes Suffolk, Norfolk, Bristol and Plymouth counties. Six to 8 inches of snow are expected in these areas with the heaviest accumulation expected southeast of Boston to the Providence line.
A winter storm watch has been issued for Barnstable County and Dukes and Franklin counties in effect until Monday at 11:00 a.m. A winter storm watch is also in effect for Essex, central and southeast Middlesex and southern Worcester counties lasting until 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
As a precaution, Boston Public Schools have canceled classes for Monday, March 21.
