Woman arrested after befriending mother, then allegedly kidnapping her baby

An infant is safe after being kidnapped from a wall in southeastern Pennsylvania.

The abduction was reported shortly after 5:30 p.m. at the King of Prussia Mall.

The mother of seven-week-old Ahsir Simmons said the suspect befriended her and held the baby in the food court when he started to cry.

While the mother took a phone call, the suspect left the mall with the infant.

Police said late Thursday that the baby was found safe and the woman accused of kidnapping her was arrested.

Charges against the woman, who has not been identified, are pending.
