PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WHDH) – Rhode Island police arrested a 32-year-old woman who they believe abandoned a puppy in a trash bin in December.
The woman initially told police she bought the puppy and gave it away to a friend because her landlord didn't allow pets, but police figured out that was a lie and she now faces animal cruelty charges.
The 10-week-old Jack Russell terrier is doing just fine now, and has been adopted.
