WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A woman riding a motor scooter has died after colliding with two other vehicles in West Springfield.
Police say the woman was heading south on Route 5 at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday when she was “clipped” by a car and then collided with a minivan that was turning onto the highway from Elm Street.
The scooter broke into several pieces and the woman was trapped under the van. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her name has not been made public.
The crash remains under investigation and no citations have been issued.
