BOSTON (WHDH) - A man is in the ICU after his girlfriend stabbed him in the stomach and hit him with a car in Mattapan.

Police say the incident happened around 9:30 Friday night after the victim’s girlfriend found out he was cheating on her.

A neighbor who helped the victim said he noticed a silver Honda outside his home on Manchester Street. The car tried to do a three point turn and slammed into multiple cars.

Roycil Ramkisson said he ran out of his house to get the license plate of the driver and found the Honda on the curb and a man bleeding.

“He said he got stabbed,” Ramkisson said. “My son came out and we helped him.”

Officers responded to the scene and recovered a pink folding knife, but the driver had taken off. They put out a bulletin to law enforcement about the car and, shortly after, 27-year-old Lashonda Warner was found and arrested.

Court records reveal that Warner confessed and explained why she did it, saying she caught her boyfriend talking to other women and laughed in her face when she confronted him.

Warner is being held on $5,000 cash bail. If she can post that, she has been ordered to stay away from the victim.
