BRAINTREE, MASS. (WHDH) - Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a driver who struck and killed a woman in Braintree.

Officials say the incident happened Thursday afternoon at around 5 p.m. near the intersection of Shaw and Commercial streets.

The 62-year-old woman was rushed to South Shore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

A front grill to a 2000-2002 Mazda 626 sedan was left at the scene.

Police have now located a vehicle matching that description and are interviewing an individual who is cooperating.

No arrests have been made.
