WATERTOWN, MASS. (WHDH) - Two women were taken to the hospital when wires from an MBTA bus came down on a car in Watertown on Wednesday.

According to witnesses, they heard a loud explosion and then saw the wires come down, first hitting and shattering a stoplight and then landing on the car with two women inside.

The impact smashed the windshield of the car.

A witness said the women were covered in shards of glass.

The women appeared to not be badly injured.
