DORCHESTER, Mass. (WHDH) — Police are investigating two indecent assaults in Dorchester and officials believe the two are connected.

At around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, a woman said she was walking to work near Columbia Road and Richfield Street. She told police that a man snuck up behind her and groped her before running away. About 15 minutes later, another woman in the same area said a man ran up to her and groped her.

Both women described the suspect as a black man who appeared to be in his 20s. They said he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and red and white sneakers.

One woman who lives a block away from where the assaults happened told 7News she saw a man matching the suspect’s description Tuesday night as she was taking out the trash. She said the man exposed himself to her and she went back into her house.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the Boston Police Sexual Assault Unit at 617-343-4400.
