The Time
The women’s synchronized 10m platform event takes place at 3pm ET on Tuesday, Aug. 9.
The Format
Synchronized diving events are direct finals with no preliminary or semifinal round.
Each team will perform five dives. The medalists will be determined based on the five dives performed by each team.

The Key Storylines
China has won every Olympic and world championship title in the women’s synchronized platform event since its inception in 2000. Decorated veteran Chen Ruolin and partner Liu Huixia are the heavy favorites with Chen one gold medal away from the most Olympic diving gold medals by an individual.
