In an announcement put out by the FDA, Wonderful Pistachios has announced that it is voluntarily recalling a limited number of products due to a risk of Salmonella contamination.
The recall will effect a limited number of flavors and sizes of in-shell and shelled pistachios.
The products were distributed nationwide and throughout Canada.
In a release, Stop & Shop Supermarket Company announced it has removed the products from sale. The company says it has received no reports of illnesses. Customers who purchased the item should discard the product and bring a purchase receipt into the store for a full refund.
