On Sunday around 10:45 p.m., New Hampshire State Police saw a wrong-way driver traveling south on the northbound off-ramp of Exit 1 on Interstate 293 in Manchester.
Police tried to stop the car, but it continued to drive the wrong way on the highway.
An officer on the highway was able to pull the driver over and found the driver appeared to be impaired by alcohol.
The driver, Michelle Lee St. Yves, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
The high-speed lane was closed and traffic diverted through the right lanes for about 20 minues as the scene was cleared.
St. Yves was released on $1,5000 personal recognizance bail and will appear in court on Sept. 26.
