A Yarmouth girl who has gotten lots of support and love from the Yarmouth Police Department is recovering after her 10th spinal surgery.
Leah Archambault underwent the surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her mother said she is now several inches taller after the surgery and is thankful to the police department for all the encouragement. Before the surgery, Leah was named a "junior officer" by the Yarmouth Police Department.
The police department was able to get community support for Leah, asking people to send her cards or toys to lift her spirits. Her father died suddenly just two weeks before this most recent operation.
