YARMOUTH, MASS. (WHDH) - Yarmouth police are searching for three men who were allegedly involved in a violent home invasion.
According to police, the incident occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. Thursday at a home on Monroe Lane in West Yarmouth.
Police said the victims fled the home and found two officers who were on patrol nearby. They told the officers they had been beaten, and a large amount of cash and multiple handguns had been stolen by three armed masked men.
Yarmouth police officers converged on the home and secured the scene.
Preliminary investigations showed three unknown men entered the home and assaulted the victims, a man and his girlfriend.
The suspects stole a large amount of cash and four handguns from two safes.
The victim was licensed to have firearms, and both victims did not require medical treatment.
The suspects were described as three men who spoke Spanish and were approximately six feet tall. They have slender builds and are in their late teens to mid-twenties. All three suspects wore bandanas around their faces.
