A 12-year-old fiddler from Tennessee has gained national attention, making an appearance on NBC’s "Little Big Shots" with Steve Harvey.

Carson Peters got his first fiddle from his grandmother when he was 2 years old. By the time he was 8, he made his first debut onstage at the Grand Old Opry. He has since played there eight times. He also appeared "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," where he played the fiddle for Betty White.

Peters said he does not practice too much because he is too playing baseball. But he did say he is great at playing on the spot.

"It kind of comes natural to me. If I can hear a song a couple of times, I can usually pick out the notes and play it," said Peters.

Little Big Shots can be seen on 7NBC on Sundays at 8 p.m.
