Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg got some backlash from his Facebook followers after sharing a picture of him with his newborn daughter at the doctor’s office.
Zuckerberg posted the picture of him and his daughter Maxima along with the caption, "Doctor’s visit — time for vaccines!" The post got many from anti-vaccine advocates who criticized Zuckerberg for his and his wife’s decision to vaccinate their daughter.
Many anti-vaccine advocates claim there is a link between vaccinations and autism. However, the link has been widely discredited. Zuckerberg also received comments thanking him for the picture and his pro-vaccine stance.
Zuckerberg has addressed the issue before, saying, "The science is completely clear: Vaccines work and are important for the health of everyone in our community."
