Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn withdrew from women’s golf after 13 holes on Friday, citing a knee injury.
Jutanugarn was the first-round leader after an opening 6-under 65 and shot even-par 71 on Thursday before coming completely unraveled in Round 3.
The reigning British Women’s Open champion had carded three bogeys, two doubles and three triples on Saturday and was 12 over for the day when she called it quits.
The 20-year-old has won four times this year; she took three straight LPGA events in May before cashing in for her first major just three weeks ago.
Jutanugarn was 6 over for the week when she withdrew.
