Great Britain’s Max Whitlock is golden two times this Sunday, winning pommel horse gold just an hour after taking the floor title at the Rio Olympics.

The reigning world champion on pommel horse and the all-around bronze medalist in Rio scored 15.966 to beat the field.

Following behind him were fellow Brit Louis Smith, who already has pommel horse silver and bronze from the last two Olympics, and the U.S.’ Alex Naddour. 

It is the first Olympic medal for a U.S.’ male gymnast in Rio and first pommel horse Olympic medal for a U.S. man since 1984, when Peter Vidmar tied for gold and Tim Daggett won bronze.
