That sport of course is synchronized swimming.

7’s Nancy Chen had a chance to try it out in New England before heading to Rio.

Esther Williams, known as “America’s mermaid” put synchronized swimming on the map.

Synchronized swimming included grace, choreography and of course smiles–all while underwater.

Leah Pinette was on the National Synchronized Swimming Team for nine years and is now the head coach of the ANA synchro team at the Andover YMCA.

The sport is all about making it look easy no matter what.

Pinette and her team gave Nancy a lesson in the art of synchronized swimming.
