VERNON, Conn. (WHDH) — A Connecticut teen saved a girl from drowning over the holiday weekend.
Kevin Kozak was fishing with his friends at a pond in Vernon when he said he saw the 10-year-old girl unconscious in the water.
“She looked really bad,” said Kozak. “It looked like she’d been under the water for a long time.”
Kozak pulled her out and his friend gave her CPR, saving her life. The girl’s father Imtiaz Bukhari said he is very happy and thankful that his daughter was rescued. The girl is now doing OK.
