YARMOUTH, Maine (WHDH) — A restaurant in Yarmouth, Maine cooked up a gigantic burger to celebrate the restaurant’s first anniversary.
The owners of Dirigo’s Pubic House said they wanted to do something creative to commemorate their first year in business. The idea to make an enormous burger started out as a joke but the owners decided to go with it.
The burger is made with 70 pounds of meat and with all the toppings, it weighs in at 100 pounds. Customers were able to buy tickets to try out the burger and the proceeds went to a local food bank.
