BOSTON (WHDH) - Six Red Sox players have been named to the American League roster for Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game.

David Ortiz, who will be making his 10th All-Star appearance, will be joined by Xander Bogaerts, Mookie Betts and Jackie Bradley Jr. Craig Kimbrel, making his fifth All-Star appearance, was selected by AL Manager Ned Yost and Steven Wright was voted in by the players.

There is also a chance that a seventh Red Sox player will be named to the roster. Second baseman Dustin Pedroia is one of the players up for the Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote.

The last time the Red Sox had six players in the All-Star Game was 2008. The MLB’s 87th All-Star Game will be played on July 12 at Petco Park in San Diego.
