The Boston Bruins defense has already been plagued by injuries this season and Wednesday it was announced that another player will miss significant time.
Adam McQuaid is reported be away from hockey for 6-to-8 weeks for a broken right thumb.
He sustained the injury Tuesday during a 2-0 win over the St. Louis Blues.
