Before Tom Brady there was Drew Bledsoe and now the former Patriots’ QB is taking a little time to defend the man who replaced him.

“I trust Tom. He is an honest man, he’s ethical, he’s a great person and if he says he didn’t do it he didn’t do it,” Bledsoe said.

Bledsoe stood by Brady during the deflated football controversy and said it is nonsense.

“This to me is a non-issue that has no impact on the outcome of the game,” he said.

Bledsoe said the two psi difference wouldn’t have been obvious.

“You don’t have time to focus on that at all. The only thing I would ever notice was if the ball was slick. There was at time they’d give us slick ones. Outside of that I’d never really notice,” he said.

Something Bledsoe said he doesn’t think Brady’s critics are taking into consideration is that the Pats are a smart team.

“If in fact they had done something wrong, the thing that would make the most sense is if they’d come forward. So that leads me to believe there truly is nothing going on,” he said.

Bledsoe went on to say that he does not think this is a serious issue and therefore it doesn’t deserve a serious punishment.
