Boston Bruins Coach Claude Julien earned his record 388th victory as a member of the Boston Bruins Monday night in the team’s 5-4 OT win over the Florida Panthers.
The win makes Julien the all-time wins leader in team history, surpassing Art Ross, who coached in various stints from 1936-1954.
Julien took over as the team’s 27th head coach in 2007 and has led the team to seven playoff seasons in eight full years (with an eighth playoff appearance a distinct possibility this year). He won a Stanley Cup in 2011 and led the roster to another Finals appearance in 2013.
Julien has also won a gold medal as an assistant coach for Team Canada in 2014.
Julien’s record currently sits at 318-216-85. This season, Boston is 37-23-7 and sits just one point out of first place in the Atlantic Division.
