The Boston Bruins have signed defenseman Torey Krug and forward Reilly Smith to new contracts. Krug received a one-year extension and Smith earned a two-year contract extension.

In 58 games this season, Krug has scored 11 goals to go along with 20 assists, for a total of 31 points.

Krug has been a mainstay on the Bruins roster after his remarkable run during the 2012-13 playoff run, scoring back-to-back goals.

Smith has played in every game so far this season, tallying 12 goals, 23 assists for a total of 35 points.

The forward was one of the trade chips acquired in the Tyler Seguin deal back in 2013.

Both players are relieved to not have to deal with any type of uncertainty this summer with the new deals.
