Patriots defensive captain Devin McCourty caught up with 7News before and after Wednesday’s parade, excited to celebrate with Patriots Nation.

“We can’t wait to get out there just to see all the fans and see how happy they really are,” McCourty said before the parade, calling 7News from his Duck Boat. “I think this is going to make it real once we get out there and start to really celebrate.”

McCourty shared a Duck Boat with a few other players and said they had a great time seeing all the fans. The only downside McCourty had with the parade was his Duck Boat did not get a chance to have the Lombardi Trophy on board. Despite not being able to host the trophy during the parade, McCourty said he had a great time.

“These fans supported us all year and bringing it back to Boston is a great feeling. They really deserve it.”
